Hemnet is a public company: the beginning of a new journey

Today is not a day like any other, it is the day when Hemnet became a public company. After years of work, focus and dedication we can proudly say that we are so happy to share a piece of this fantastic company with all Swedish people. And I honestly couldn’t be more proud.

For me, today marks the first day working on the management group of a public company, which means that from today I can make a positive impact with my work in the lives of many people. The majority of the employees at Hemnet that believed in the company and decided to become shareholders, and some of the millions of Swedes that every week use Hemnet and from today can be part of its growth too.

Nothing motivates me more than thinking that with what I do I can create a positive impact for someone.

Last week I was reading the latest Jeff Bezos’ letter to shareholders. This year it opens with a letter from one private shareholder who decided to invest in Amazon back in the days and wrote to Bezos the thank him for the value Amazon created for his family. Today my hope is that in some years from now, I will be able to create a fraction of that happiness for someone that, exactly today, has decided to believe in Hemnet.
